👨 Men's Hair Trimming Guidelines
- Halq (Shaving Head): Completely shaving the head yields 3 times greater reward and forgiveness. Highly recommended for men.
- Taqsir (Trimming Hair): Trimming hair evenly from all over the head (at least fingertip length across the entire head). Trimming just a few strands is insufficient.
👩 Women's Hair Trimming Guidelines
- Taqsir Only: Women trim approximately one inch / fingertip length (around 1-2 cm) from the ends of their hair gathered in a ponytail or braid.
- Privacy: Hair trimming must be done in private (hotel room or designated female restrooms in the Haram complex), not publicly in front of non-Mahram men.
